Pondering Grandparenting

July 6, 2013

I have sat alone quite often lately and pondered what kind of grandparent will I be.

Will my grands see me as the crazy grandma that gets nothing right and has outlandish ideas about the world?

Will my grands beg constantly to come to my house or as their parents try to leave will they hang onto them for dear life?

I know for certain I won’t be the sort to spoil them with things.

I will spoil them with time, the time sadly I didn’t always make for my children.

I will spoil them with knowledge, teaching them  the things they don’t learn behind a school desk.

I will spoil them with discipline, kids need structure and guidance, life is not a free for all.

I will spoil them with love.

You’re going to be just the right kind, Moma. Don’t fret.
